Just Imagine

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

In this one verse Paul says, “God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,” That’s imagination!

Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Evil imaginations displeased God so much that He said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth.

If evil imagination could grieve God so much that He would destroy man, “Just Imagine,” what God would do, if we would just use our imagination for good!

Imagination should not be used to escape reality, but to create it. How I think has everything to do with my going or not going to the next level.

Four different times in Revelations, John heard the voice of God saying, “Come up hither!” Since the garden of Eden God has been calling mankind back to him.

It’s OK to go to the next level, and the next level!

In St. Matthew chapter 14, Peter got out of the boat and started walking to Jesus. But, when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Jesus seemed disappointed with Peter even though he had walked on the water, so much that he said, “O thou of little Faith.”.

If that was little faith, then the level of faith He has and desires for you and I to have must be totally awesome!

Heb 12:1b, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

I had justified that some of my thinking was not necessarily a sin, but it’s possibly a weight, until I read in Romans 14:23b, for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

We get locked into certain patterns and expectations and if it doesn’t come through my narrow mindedness, then we miss wonderful opportunities. Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.

There is a lady in our city, who has a beautiful family, but she won’t get out of her house, because she is afraid she might catch some disease. Her family does all the shopping and takes all the risk. Worry is the misuse of imagination

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

The world’s best kept secret is that on the other side of fear there is something safe and beneficial waiting for you. Don’t run to your fears, run through your fears! You were are not born a pessimist, it is a choice. You were born a winner!

Take the next challenge to go for it! Challenges test our skills and makes us stronger. Transformation comes when challenge is engaged. Challenges, rebuild our thinking!
